Pagudpud is a coastal beach town on the northernmost tip of the island of Luzon. My main destination for today's trip is the secluded beach called Blue Lagoon. I arrived at the town center of Pagudpud after a two-hour relaxing bus ride from Laoag City. I was dropped off right at the tricycle station area where there was no other obvious choice of transportation to Blue Lagoon Beach but the tricycle.(Philippine equivalent of tuktuk or becak) The tricycle rates were set at a tariff...

From Laoag, the town of Pagudpod is just an hour away via the open air mini buses available around for 85 pesos per person. It was a good decision to have taken this ride in daylight as the scenic drive shouldn't be missed. Along the way, we already saw a glimpse of South China Sea on our left.
