Colorful murals of historic Western Kentucky May 07, 2008
About halfway between St. Louis, Missouri and Nashville, Tennessee the Ohio River runs along right next to Paducah, Kentucky and the citizens of Paducah have erected a very nice flood-wall to keep the sometimes high water from destroying their town. But on top of building a very high wall, they have decided to have an artist put murals on it to make it an attraction rather than just a big tall blank grey eye sore. They hired Robert Dafford and his crew and over an eleven year period he painted 50 wonderful, decorative, and historic murals along a seven block area. They all depict the history of Western Kentucky.
