Paddy Flaherty's Irish Pub
Paddy Flaherty's Irish Pub Reviews
Highest Irish pub in the world - Paddy Flaherty's :) Dec 11, 2008
Paddy Flaherty's calls itself "the highest Irish pub in the world". Maybe it's not 100% true, but Cusco has definitely a high altitude. This time I was in Cusco just 2 nights and both of them I visited Paddy's :P
It's one of the Irish bars in Cusco and it's located just across the road from the Cathedral. This 2nd-floor, dark-wood local is small but welcoming and has great views of the Main Squaqre. Despite this is not the only Irish bar in the city, it's one of the few places where you down a Guinness or English draft beer. They also serve authentic shepherd's pie, not to mention bread and butter pudding and other Celtic cuisine. I didn't eat here, but met 2 Irish people who were really happy with their food. They also serve salads and roast chicken. Open for lunch too. You can also watch rugby and other sports on TV. And good to know, they have Happy hour 7 - 8 pm. and 10 - 10:30 pm. The atmosphere of this place is great and fun! I love the decoration here, the blackboards showing the menu and drinks, the cozy tables, the train running over your head, haha. But the main fun is hanging with the people from all over the world, who pack the place every night. Thumbs up for Paddy's :) Part of the 2 weeks ago I was the guest and now I'm the host :) travel blog
