Kids will love the Giant Octopus! May 01, 2011
The great things about the price is that you can save your receipt and go back in the same day. So, if you have kids, start and end your day here and they will love it.

The place isn't very big, but it does give you a good view of the ocean floor close to the wharf. There is also a small tidal pool with anemones and star fish that you can touch.

Once per hour, there is a live show with a diver who feeds the fish and brings starfish, wolf eels and ling cod to the window so you can see them up close. The best part is when he prods the giant octopus to glide along the glass so you can really see his tentacles and suction cups (or whatever you call them).

I came here years ago on my first visit to Victoria, and it has not changed at all. You'll find the Undersea Gardens on a boat flaoting in the Inner Harbour. Inside you'll see, closeup, different sea creatures, but the best thing to see here are the octopii (if they're not hiding).

Cost: About $10
