This hostel is in a great location of San Francisco, right near the Transamerica Pyramid and Chinatown. The staff is very friendly, offering water after climbing the few flights of stairs up to the lobby, and always happy to answer any questions.

The rooms downstairs don't have doors and the walls don't go to the ceilings, so it's easy to hear everyone else, but it was never really an issue.

The beds are very sturdy and don't shake and there are foot lockers underneath each bunk... just bring a lock to make sure your belongings are secure! I felt very safe in the hostel, however.

It's easy to get to know the other travelers and even the staff.

I've read reviews that say the water doesn't get hot in the showers, but you just have to keep turning the knob and it does get hot.

Really no complaints...I'd stay there again without hesitation.
