Pacific Pensionne House

They have my favorite bed in town--mmm, actually, I'd take any bed in this place. Very reasonable rates in such an accessible and convenient nook in the city. Located at Osmeña Blvd. (popularly known by its former name, Jones St.? let me review that history bit, but it says Osmeña Blvd. on the map and the street signs), landmarks would be PNB, Harrison Park, Visayas Community Medical Center and PhilAm Building. It is tucked away in one little alley, but there's a big sign and an arrow pointing to the place. Most of the cab drivers who've had to take us there were familiar with the place, too, so I assume it's pretty popular.

We were able to stay in their old rooms and recently, in their renovated ones, and while I admit the new rooms have a teeny bit more class (hot shower, new air conditioners, repainted walls) I personally prefer the homey old rooms. But oh well, that may be just be nostalgia from memories of traveling with my family, the new rooms are really pretty good. (I don't have photos of the room...okay, okay, I do, but i won't post them, I prefer not to show the sloppy side of me =D)

And oh yeah, did i mention wifi? They have wifi. Free wifi. Pretty cool. I was only able to use it for a few hours when I was last there, and you'll have to go down to their cafe to use it because the signal was not good in the rooms, but it was pretty good.
