I travel a lot and have stayed in many places in California. did not really know what to expect here. but I have fallen in love with the area and Pacific Mist Inn is one of my favorite places in the world. my dog cici and i stayed in the zen cabin with our very own zen water fountain tinkling outside. Now, the flowers are blooming and look really pretty, too... the weather is nice and cool, while it is heating up inland. Cici and I slept really well in our cabin. we have a fireplace with wood in case it gets too cold. There is a nice clean and fresh bathroom, love the lavendar shampoo and body lotion... all of the amenities that you could ask for and more... a big television, phone, a kitchen, with all the trimmings and a deck to sit outside, plus a bbq... very nice touches... it also seems quite eco friendly and green... feels like a home away from home...

when you drive up, it looks very rustic, but when you come inside, the cabins are very clean, fresh and cozy, you could have a girlfriends getaway and rent out the whole cabin, two rooms, watch movies, snack, and chat away at night, then close the door for privacy.

cici is loving it here, she is in doggie heaven, so many bushes and grass to sniff, lots of greenery and the ocean is a hop, skip and a jump away... there is supposed to be a secret beach but we have not found it... she would rather visit with tasha the dog... Jen and Nicole at the front desk left us a very sweet note… with doggie treats for my girl and two chocolates for me (i did not share them with her)…

I also really love the book that tells you all of the local info from beaches to restaurants to art galleries… to the little notes and tips (28 thing to do on a rainy day) with instructions. All in all, they make you feel very welcome and at home here… and that does not happen everywhere... a lot of times either the staff is rude and snooty at expensive places or not entirely home or there when you need them... here, they are like family.
