Pacific Central Station
Pacific Central Station Reviews
Vancouver's ground transportation hub Jul 28, 2009
This is the main train and bus station in Vancouver. It is also my office as I work for one of the bus companies. Station was built in 1919 by the Canadian Northern Railway.
It now is home to Via Rail which heads east from here towards Edmonton and points east. Amtrak also leaves from here, south, towards Seattle Washington and into the rest of the Amtrak network. Two bus companies make their home here. Greyhound Canada and Greyhound USA both leave from opening up their North American bus network. Pacific Coach Lines also leaves from here heading to Victoria, on Vancouver Island. Inside you find a McDonalds, a coffee shop, rental car counter and gift shop. If you are heading to the USA by train you will clear US Immigration in the station but not if you are going down by bus. |

The railway proposed a subdivision, but was opposed by a vast majority of citizens. (I never… Vandusen Gardens |
