Oxford Suites Hotel Redding

David and I were on our way home from Los Angeles via Redding. The plane went to Eureka, did a scenic tour of the massive fog bank and turned around to return to Redding. So we stayed the night in Redding. It was midnight when we got to the Redding Airport.

We stayed at an Oxford Suite. We had a friend with us so we got the family suite. It is normally $159 but because of the emergency and lateness we got it for $109. When we got to the room we were so pleased.

The entry is a double sink with a coffee maker, microwave oven and refrigerator. The bathroom was immediately off of it. The next area was a double bed, chair, huge television and side tables. Next was a nice sitting area with a desk, FREE WIFI, couch and another huge television.

The room off of the bedroom had another huge television, it's own sitting area and dresser. Sweet!

The room was in golds and brown.. very warm and pleasing. The personnell were so nice and accomodating. The bed(s) were comfortable .. actually above average. and... There's more!

BREAKFAST! The free buffet consisted of two kinds of dry cereal, four bread and toaster, hot oatmeal, scrambled eggs, hash browns, hot biscuits and gravy, sliced bananas, peaches, cottage cheese, half grapefruits, bagels, english muffins, wheat and white toast, two kinds of juice and two kinds of milk! What a spread....

So: we will absolutely stay at another Oxford Suites: We came here by accident but we really love it and recommend it! I will post pictures later: The only camera I have is a disposable camera that I paid a small fortune for at Disneyland..

This is a pretty nice location in Redding. You get two drinks and some munchies for happy hour, and a better than decent full breakfast in the morning. The 2-room suites are good sized and the layout is functional. Movies are available as well as snacks at the front shop area. The room was well furnished and the bed was comfortable. We did have one small problem. A water leak from the room above flooded our bathroom and required us to call and have maintenance come and dry it out. Their response was quick and efficient and within a half hour the problem was gone. I would certainly stay at this hotel again.
