Over-Holland forest Breukelen Reviews
A short walk in nature Oct 01, 2011
If you are in Breukelen and you have a craving for nature go to the Over-Holland forest. It is very small, but still nice to walk in. You can walk through the forest in 30-40 minutes, but if you want to you could also have a pick-nick there, enjoy the sounds and beauty or the nice temperature during summer. It is always cool in this plays. The forest is beautiful in every season. It has a very clear trail, but watch out for the two small bridges! They might be a bit unstable some time ;-).
Although the forest is really small I enjoy it a lot and constantly see new things. Different animals and toadstools in the right season. The nicest thing is that during spring summer and fall you can always get something tasteful to take home. I especially enjoy the little nuts which are called beukennootjes in dutch. They are very tasteful, and probably not many people eat them as you can not buy them in the store! But mostly I enjoy the sounds here.
If you need to be in Breukelen for work or you are new her as a student at Nijenrode I would really recommend you to visit this place on a quiet Sunday afternoon. You might meet some new people here too ;-).
