Ouro Preto Vacation Guide
An old minning city that has since become a World Heritage Site by Unesco due to its pure architectural beauty.
Set in the centre of a lush green valley, Ouro Preto or the City of the Black Gold, is such a contrast to the Brazilian cities such as Rio. In Contrast, Ouro Preto seems to be set in the olden days still. With a church around every corner and really old beat up vintage cars lining the streets.
Despite this, there is a university vibe underlining all this histroy. If you look for it, there is a thriving nightlife and also some fantastic rustic restaurants.
