After another great night sleep we get up quickened at 6.45 am and everybody is on the bus at 8.30. Today we go to the ostrich capital of the world: Oudtshoorn. During this 210 kilometre trip, we drive through an alternating landscape. From shoreline to mountain pass. I love this country! We are only a few minutes underway when we cross the bridge where one of the highest bungee jump in the world can be made, 216 metres! In January this year (2007) I was finally able to pack my bags and head for Africa. I spend 6 wonderful weeks down there together with an american friend. South Africa have so much: great people, beautiful nature, wildlife, interesting history, interesting culture.. and the list goes on.

After our last trip which ended in November 2006, we were quite ready for our "normal" lives in Amsterdam. But once you're stung by the travel bug, it will start itching again soon enough. And when scratching didn't relieve us, we started making new plans in the beginning of 2008. After a short period of preparing -basically we only bought a ticket to Capetown- we left Amsterdam on the 11th of June 2008. On this blog you'll find our route of our travelling as we go along.

Wekker om 06:45, 07:30 ontbijt, 08:30 vertrek. Weer heerlijk geslapen. We hadden een kamer met een double en een single bed. Ik heb in het 2 persoons (diagonaal) en Trudy in het 1 persoons bed geslapen. Het is in Zuid Afrika veel te warm om tegen elkaar te liggen.
