O'tai Hotel Easter Island

I am sure isolation plays a part in the difficulty of maintaining the hotels on the island but this was bare bones. The air conditioner in our room did not work. As well, the rooms were not cleaned very well and the doors/windows did not have good seals; I guess if you like to be close to nature this is a good thing as the roaches will be in the room with you at night.

After much research I decided on this hotel because it received some of the best reviews online. I am guessing it was probably one of the better hotels on the island after seeing the other choices.

On a more positive note, the grounds were very pretty and well kept, the pool was super clean, and there is so much to do that you won't need to spend too much time in your room anyway. As well, the hotel's location was convenient to restaurants and shopping.
