Nice Setting, Great Italian Food Jun 23, 2011
This is a great little Italian restaurant in Roma Norte. It was close to our B&B, an easy walk. It is a small restaurant with indoor and outdoor (sidewalk) seating. Parking is on the street. It was quiet the evening we dined there.
The food is great. We came with appetites and ordered a good deal of food. We started with a pizza, the margherita, as an appetizer and it was delish. The pizza alone would be enough for a meal (and it's reason enough to seek this place out!), but we were hungry so we ordered 2 more courses and a dessert. The mozzarella and tomato salad was excellent as were both of the pasta dishes we tried. We also ordered a bottle of red wine with our meal. The desserts were divine - the pot de creme is a must. As langniappe, the owner/chef treated us to some amazing grappa.
The proprietors are very friendly and outgoing. The waitstaff is attentive and polite. They enhanced our experience by making us feel comfortable and welcomed. We really enjoyed our meal and will definitely return when we visit DF again.
