Orient Youth Hostel

The hostel is located within the backpacker area in Sultanahmet.If offers great views from its rooftop bar. Great place to go sit and smoke a shisha/ drink a beer.

The rooms are adequate and breakfast is included in the cost of the room. All the main sights - Aya Sofia, Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace, Grand Baazar are located within walking distance. Also nearby is the tram line which allows you to venture further into Istanbul.

Most of the folks staying their are young and some nights it can get quite loud as the revelers return from a night out about town. The staff is extremely friendly and will often join you at night for a beer or two.

If you're traveling on a budget and want a perfect location right in Sultanahmet to be in walking distance to the major sights and sites of Istanbul then this place is for you.

Located just a couple of blocks from the Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace,Haghia Sophia and the Grand Bazaar, it is convenient to everything.

The staff was very friendly and accommodating.

Typical hostel, with awesome location close to Sultan Ahmad mosque, Aya sofia and the pusphur ferry port. Also they've the facility of 3 stars hotel rooms. Nice friendly persons.

The best thing about the Orient hostel is the view from the breakfast/computer room, on the top floor of the hostel. You can see the water, and it's really quite amazing. Breakfast and internet access (for upto 1 hour a day, if I recall correctly) are free, btw.

Otherwise the hostel is OK. Dorms with bunkbeds, a little cramped but not too bad. Not a lot of noise. Friendly staff.
