Oregon Trail interpretive site Boise Reviews
A stop along the Oregon Trail Mar 07, 2010
At exit 64 off of Interstate 84 in Idaho you will see a sign for "Historic Site". Though it is at first unclear to what this "historic site" is, if you follow the clear direction signs you will come to an Oregon Trail Interpretive center..
The center is more of a Hut with some historic information and facts regarding the area.
There is also a "motorized and nonmotorized" trail for people to explore.
I do NOT recommend taking your vehicle down this trail. there were several muddle puddles and unevenness along the path.
I don't know how long the trail is, I only hiked along for a couple of miles and then returned because of some other plans for the day.. This was a spur of the moment hike :P
The center/t hut was handicap accessible, but the trail itself was not.
Worth a stop if you are roadtriping. Decent views of Boise and the surrounding landscape.
