Some pictures of my last holiday in France. (If some of the pictures look familiar, that may be because you saw them on Zen's page - no, I didn't steal them, we were on holiday together and can't remember who took what pictures!)

I went with my orchestra to France for a week. We played several concerts in Provence and the Alps. We also got to see the beautiful countryside and Roman ruins which are integrated into the modern towns.

The 1.000 kms passed by very quickly on the French autoroute; like a fly-drive and no fines to be paid. A pity that the toll-roads are so expensive! In the city of Orange I rented a room at the Hotel Ibis, an average French 2/3 star hotel chain with reasonable prices and good comfort. I choose Orange for a stop on my way to the French Riviera, because 1,000 km driving for a day is the max without getting annoyed and the history of the city is quite interesting.
