Orange Walk is the same as Orange Walk Town. And it is not found in the Cayo District.

Orange Walk Town is a small town (in comparison to US towns) in northern Belize but is actually one of the larger towns of Belize, with a population around 22,000. There are a lot of sugar farms located around the town, but there is also a lot of preserved forests.

Orange Walk Town is a wonderful birding place. With the largest population of birds in this small country, it is pretty impressive. Local guides are very knowledgeable and can identify birds by the sounds or location in a tree.

Close to Orange Walk town is Lamanai and Altun Ha (Mayan ruins). There are also preservation sites around the area that you can visit.

With a laid back atmosphere, just like the rest of Belize, Orange Walk Town is a nice place simply to pass through.
