Opus Room

The Opus Room is mostly used for dinner before or after a play... it is hidden in the Theater District a block away from 3 main Theaters; Heinz Hall, the Benedum and the Byam theater. The staff here is very attentive and make sure that your visit is very enjoyable. The ambiance is even more perfect for a romantic date out.

While I was hear I got the Salmon (it was $29 for the main dish). I alsmost got the stuffed chicken but I remember going to 2 other high scale restaurants and ordering a stuffed chicken and stuffed pork chops and getting more food than I could eat. So I went for the always healthy for you and light salmon. This is like the high end restaurants I've heard about and seen on the food network where you pay for the art work of the display of food---now don't get me wrong... it was an amazing meal... but it was good for a once and a while thing. We started off with scallop and crab cake... which was the size of my palm (I have small hands by the way) and it was $12. By the end of the night with one appetizer, 2 french onion soups, hot tea, coffee and 2 salmons the bill came to a little over $100--- so be prepared to be about $50 a head.

But what I did eat was amazing. With the salmon I got to choose some side dishes with it. I got the asparagus (which was about 5 pieces) and the rice with Safron Sauce (which was in a shot glass sized cup)---but nothing was cooked too long or too little and the food kept me satisfied the whole play and the rest of the night. Which when food can do that it is a success in my plate!
