Open Sesame Feb 04, 2009
After going to a few Lebanese restaurant, this is now my go to place within the LB/HB area. The original restaurant is the one in the middle of the street and the second location is two store away on the corner. The fried potatoes taste a-ma-zing! It's tossed with cilantro, lime juice, garlic, peppers, and spices. If you never had Med/Lebanese food, try the Open Sesame Combo which has a mix of skewers of kafta, chicken tawook and beef kabob served with basmati rice and hummus or baba ghannouj and salad. The Sultan's platter is good as well. The best part is that the portions and pita bread is a great way to share food with your family or friends. The waiters are really nice, maybe a little quick to get you going if there is a huge wait especially the weekends otherwise it's a small and intimate sitting. And after you're full, just take a stroll down 2nd St/Belmont to shop or get cigars/desserts.
