Nice and affordable stay in Paris May 26, 2012
My 1st time doing the hostel thing in Paris at Oops! had been a wonderful experience. My friend and I stayed there for 4 nights in early May 2012 and we are happy with it. The location of the hostel is very near to the Place d'Italie metro station, you can basically go to most of the famous sightseeing location from here. You can also take a ride in the bus as the bus stand is just in front of Oops!.

The room is clean and comfortable, although the room is a little small, we stayed in a 4 pax dorm room with a private bathroom. The bathroom is cleaned daily which is good. They have a lockout time from 11.00 am - 4.00 pm which does not affect us at all as we are mostly out since morning.

The complimentary breakfast was good and I am happy with it. They have a kitchen for you to use if you wanted to cook your own meal. There are also a few restaurants nearby varying in price range.

The staff is helpful and they have a few computers at the lobby for you to use the internet. WIFI is provided.

Overall it is a great location and I would definitely recommend to other people. :-)

Worth the Hype? Dec 13, 2011
In terms of location, Oops is only a mere 3 minutes walk away from the latest Metro station. So, it's very accessible everywhere else. It's also within walking distances away from eateries such as Italian Restaurant, Japanese Restaurant (ran by Chinese, by the way). The bragging right to this hotel is that it's the first design hostel. I have to say the operator does a good job out of it. The downer for this place is CASH only. People are disallowed to stay in the hostel between 11am to 4pm. Should you want to check-in, you have to place your luggage inside the luggage room, which is tiny & in most cases, it would take you a good ten good minutes to find your own luggage amid the piles left behind by other people. There are free computer terminals at the kitchen area & by the entry area but you may find that many of them tend to stop operating after a while. There is a constant stream of people downstairs and it's rather cramped. I'm rather thankful that I have my own individual room because I definitely need my own space here. Free breakfast is provided & wifi here is excellent. Regarding reviews from other people regarding the attitude of staff, it's really the luck of a draw because at the end of the day, this is a flashpacker & therefore, people are here only for a short period of time & therefore, we can't expect them to do the right thing to uphold the reputation of the place. The staff here is only there to score accommodation, meals in exchange to work here to prolong their visit to Paris (I'm being presumptuous here). Commendable stay.

A quiet, chilled out Hostel! Aug 04, 2011
I couldnt find this place for ages. I was walking up and down, reading the map. I was on the correct street, just the oops sign was hidden by branches of a tree right next to it. The staff are friendly, always willing to help. Mixed rooms were ok, bit small, considering everyone has kit. Bunkbeds are ok, youll always get the problem of people walking in a room at different times, and you get used to it. Not a noisey, loud, party hostel. Their is no bar at this hostel. Free internet terminals, think their was about 6 terminals. Quiet near the Paris underground, and lots of restaurnts around. Paris aint cheap for food, so have a look around. Breakfast @ the hostel is basic, croissant and coffee, which is ok. Roomed up with 3 German girls, really nice ppl. Overall, a decent place.
