This club used to be just the Onyx Room, now it includes the upper portion on the street level called "Thin." It's basically a 21 and older club, so depending on how old you are... this place might not allow you.

Onyx room is located in the basement level. You first walk into a loungy area with two rooms and a huge bar. The other portion is located behind the lounge and that's the dance area. That doesn't open up right away until the lounge gets packed, but you should wait around 11. The drink prices are a ripoff, but that's to be expected whenever you enter any bar. Some of the bartenders don't even know how to make some of the drinks that you ask them to, but then again, the ones I asked for aren't that easy to make. The music in the Onyx room is mostly hip-hop and 80s trance, which I wish they would mix it up with a little more dance and occasional techno. "Thin" is upstairs and you can smoke outside on the patio or go inside to the lounge. It's a good break to get away from the busy dancefloor. There's a $20 cover, and a line does form on Friday and Saturday. Overall, I would give it an 8/10, and it's a pretty good place to have a martini or have a smoke and people watch on the street.
