Spartan beachhut in the middle of nowhere Jun 29, 2008
Last month (may 2008) we have been married on one foot island, Aitutaki, Cook Islands. A beautiful day we will never forget. After the wedding we spend the night in one foot beach hideaway. Our weddingnight on a deserted island.....

The best thing of all was that the hut was complemetary with the wedding. When everybody left we ligted on some candles and anti mosquito rings and sat on our deck viewing the sun sinking in the lagoon. What an experience, allone on a tropical island, with no communication, no electricity and no people.

Inside the hut there was a small kitchen with our refridgerator, the chillybin stuffed with ice. Water came out of a giant tank on the roof for the toilet, shower and the tap. Upstairs there was a room wih a bed. We had everything we needed, except electricity for an aircon. It was very humid and sticky that night. Also we had a lot of mosquitos in our room and in our mosquitonet. Well, who needs sleep on his weddingnight.

For us it was an unforgettable experience witch we wouldn't have missed for the world. We can recommend one foot beach hideaway to anybody, but don't expect any luxury and beware of the mosquitos. still, One foot island is paradise on earth.
