Omni Interlocken Resort Reviews
Global Dance Festival Crash Spot Jun 12, 2008
Another Omni review. Im in love with their hotel chain. Except this time were in Denver Colorado. Broomfield actually. Each year my friends and I visit the Global Dance Festival. It is hands down the biggest party/rave in Colorado. It's held in a podunk ass town high up in the mountains in a natural amphitheatre known as 'Red Rocks' due to the fact that its carved out of big fuckin rocks. Said town has no lodging as its on the top of a mountain so instead of driving with 1600 other cars back downtown I, for the last few years, have opted for the Omni Interlocken. It's a few minutes out of the way but once your'e there i can tell you of no btter place to sleep off the nights festivities. It's remote enough to be quiet but close enough to real life to find tacos at 4am, which you may need if your'e coming back from Global. If checking in before GDF, they already have printed maps to aid you in navigating up the mountain to find the venue. Once inside the first thing you notice is the free champagne, all afternoon. Then, the beds are huge and soft, good for coming down from, or still rolling on, whatever you dropped. The showers are great if you brought your misses, or signfigant other. Once you wake up realize where you are the hotel has a restaurant inside with pretty good food. And the pool is huge with a sweet full bar right at the end of it. After an exciting night at Global this is the place to recover.
