Om Shakti Chelo's Appam Stall & Vegetarian Food Kuala Lumpur Reviews
Best Indian food in the Heart of Kuala Lumpur! Jul 24, 2011
Sometimes, the best food are not in those 5-stars restaurants you visit to. The same goes for Malaysian food.
Malaysia is always famous for it's Hawker food, and the same goes for it's indian cuisines. So, I'm gonna introduce to you guys, the best place to get indian snacks and vegetarian food in Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur.
Located behind TMC (near to Bangsar Village), this stall looks like your typical "Warung", but it serves the most delicious indian snacks at a reasonable price. Their customers? Not just locals, but also tourists from countries like UK & so on.
So what's so great about them? Their Sweet Appams (According to Wiki -they are called Milk Hoppers cause they have a spoonful of thick coconut milk/coconut cream added to the doughy centre. "When cooked, the centre is firm to the touch but remains soft inside and is sweeter as a result of the coconut milk".)
Either Brown/White sugar are added as well.
The prices for one sweet appam is about MYR 1 (cheap right?!) .
I can eat like 4-5 appams at a time!!! >_<
I've been eating there for 10 years, so I can say this , "more emphasise are given on the quality than the profits!"
Their curry puff tastes like they were made in heaven (40 cents per piece) . And the Vadai are one of the best in Bangsar.
The best time to enjoy these snacks are around 4-5 pm. BTW, i think they are close on Sundays.
