Olympic National Park La Push Reviews
A large park to be done piece by piece Feb 19, 2012
We got a week off of work at the end of February 2012 and decided to spend a couple of days of it at Olympic National Park. A lot of the park was closed or had limited access. We did get to spend a day though in the Hoh Rain Forest.
Being February, it was of course moist, like most of the Northwest. So, we dressed our two kids in warm clothes and set out to hike. This part of the park has lots of cool trees covered in moss, as well as streams It was cool, in its own way. We even saw some deer and lots of birds.
Amongst all the trees, there was this one huge tree and, as you see in the photo, it would take at least 10-12 adults to completely encircle it.
One warning though, if you come during the offseason like we did, the Visitors Center is only open certain days during the weekend.

Spectacular Getaway! May 18, 2011
When originally planning my trip to Seattle, I had previously not heard of Olympic National Park. As I was researching day trips from Seattle, I stumbled across Olympic National Park which seemed to good to be true. It is located about a 2-3 hour drive from Seattle and contains many natural wonders such as snow capped mountains, glacier lakes, rainforests, and beautiful ocean coastlines with sea stacks which is very exciting for someone from the east coast.
I only had the chance to visit this area for 2 days though I wish I had about 4-5 days to really experience all of its glory. For any nature lovers out there, this place must be on the top of your list. Make sure to visit Hurricane Ridge, Port Angeles, Lake Crescent, La Push, and the Hoh Rainforest. You will not be disappointed!
