Olympia Travel and Tourism Guide

We drove to Olympia & stayed the night in the town.... the next morning we went to the Olympics site. It would have been interesting to be in the site of the original Olympics when the new 2004 games were occurring. The site was not as preserved as some. (less on the grounds) .... I have several exciting shots of me racing around the stadium ...When the original Olympics were going on: only free Greeks could compete & they had to be men....Women were not allowed to watch the Olympics....

Sorry its been so long since i've updated, its been hard to get to the computer. I am dripping sweat in Greece right now, but its ok because i love the town we are in--it is so beautiful! We took an overnight boat last night(so much fun!) from Brindisi, Italy and arrived in Greece around noon today. We have our own private charter bus for the entire time we are in Greece(amazing), which drove us an hour down the coast to a small town called Olympia. Here are a few photos from the Town of Olympia, Greece and the archaeological site of Ancient Olympia. Though I've been to the Archaeological site before, last summer was my first visiting the on-site museum. WOW! It's one best museums in Greece. I hope to add some more pics and some video footage in the near future.

Graduating in May I headed to the Caribbean, then to Spain and Denmark, then the southern US, then Greece, followed by Turkey and Cyprus, then Greece again, and finally the central US.
