Olot Travel and Tourism Guide

Olot is a city in the region of the Garrotxa. it is the most volcanic area in Europe, but none are active.
Because of this area's volcanic soil there are many dishes that blend Catalan culinary tradition with vegetables and plants that can only be grown in volcanic soil.
Around Olot there is beautiful countryside and many paths that can be taken through the wheat fields and into the craters of inactive volcanoes.
Olot is only about an hour's drive North of Barcelona and is a wonderful place to see the rural Catalan culture and natural scenery.
