Olive Garden Fairview Heights Reviews
Loud and Crowded; Good Food Apr 08, 2011
Despite the fact that there are so many restaurants to choose from in Fairview Heights, Olive Garden remains to be one of the busiest. We were eating a late lunch on a weekday, and still had to wait on a table. It is one of the older restaurants in town, and it could certainly use some updating and/or remodeling. The tables and chairs are showing some wear and tear.
For the most part, the servers and staff are friendly. And, the food is good. Unlimited salad and breadsticks (and you can ask for the dressing on the side). I do like that now even Olive Garden had added to their menu some lighter, healthier menu options. I got the Venetian apricot chicken, which was grilled chicken breast, with steamed asparagus, broccoli and tomatoes with an apricot glaze. It was quite tasty.
If you're looking for an intimate, quiet Italian meal, this is not the place. It's loud, bustling and crowded. But, the food doesn't disappoint.
Olive Garden is located at the Fairview Heights exit on I-64. From the Interstate, turn north and at the first stoplight (at the Circle K, Drury Inn and Bob Evans), turn west (left) and you will see the restaurant straight ahead, on the right.
