Delicious, authentic Italian food & ethical, sustainable support for local youth. Dec 11, 2013
I ate in Olga's with a group of British teenagers. we had just completed an expedition in Botswana and Zambia and wanted to find a special place for a celebratory dinner. Olga's was perfect. The food was first rate and the atmosphere in the place was warm and very friendly. The staff were very helpful and always,s smiling. Pizza is cooked in a wood fired oven and the pasta is all home made on site. If you have cause to celebrate and want to support the local community too, this is the place to go! Why? Because it is a not for profit business and all the funds that the place makes are ploughed into a local youth charity that provides vocational training for local youth. So when you eat at Olga's, you are also donating to a charity that helps young people in the area to gain a foothold on the ladder of adult life. It's a brilliant concept and there should be lots more like it! The food really is delicious too! If you go to Livingstone, please eat at least once at Olga's, you'll be giving something back to Africa! Also if you need a bed - there is comfortable accommodation available as part of the same establishment. I strongly recommend it!!
