Oleta River State Park Reviews

Aug 31, 2007
Oleta River State Park is a great recreational park that you can have a wonderful BBQ, go kayaking in the Oleta River just as it flows into the intercoastal, rent a bike and try out some of their mountain bike trecks, fishing on their pier, or just enjoy a day on their soft sand beach.

Oleta River is so full of life. Just off of the little beach, there are rocks in which you can dive and observe various fish swimming among the rocks. Also, along the shoreline beyond the beach you can explore the rocks where you find various sea urchins, sea slugs, sponges, and squirts. If anyone heads up there, be sure to message me as I live right accross the street and always need an excuse to go and explore some more.

Also! Most important! If you are staying for a couple of days, have a car, dont feel like paying $150-$500 a night for a hotel, and want to enjoy the outdoors, they have cabins for rent for $50 a night! Park your car, enjoy Miami in a totally different way, and still be close enough to all the attractions. Go to the website to see what they have available for the timerame you are in Miami.
On many occasions I've seen dolphins, manattees, and the most amazing array of birds. Its a little bit of nature in the middle of a bustling city. ENJOY!
