This appealing Spanish restaurant has been open for just over a year and is conveniently situated on Putney’s Upper Richmond Road. On entering the restaurant we were promptly seated next to a fabulous floor-to-ceiling window, which is visible across the back of the top level.

The Olé menu has an appetising selection of homemade tapas and a variety of fish and meat main courses. I opted for the meatballs, camerali and a bowl of stuffed olives, followed by a main course of seafood paella. This was cooked in the traditional way with saffron flavoured rice, seafood, and served in a pan.

Although this dish is usually served with seafood, there were other options catering for vegetarians. Vegetarians and meat eaters alike are well catered for in Olé's extensive menu. To round off the meal we both had the Catalan Cream for desert, which is a custard-like dish from the Catalonia region.

The Olé Restaurant and Bar is certainly worth investigating to experience its key features. Including a stylish setting, a friendly and fast service for people on the move, and a menu which ticks all the boxes for variety.
