Old Town Trolley Tours Saint Augustine Reviews
Around St. Augustine by Old Town Trolley Mar 24, 2011
Old Town Trolley operates "tourist trolley" motorized trams around the historic district of St. Augustine. It's a great way to both see what the city has to offer and as a means of transportation around the historic area.
Trolleys depart from the "Old Jail" on San Marco Ave. north of the historic area. There is free parking for the day at the terminus. Trams operate from there past the Castillo de San Marcos, St. George Street, Constitution Square, Ripley's and as far as St. Francis Street and the "Oldest House". Visitors can ride all day on a ticket and hop on and off as often as desired. So, you can explore one part of the city and then board a tram to go the next part that interests you. The driver also provides as narration of what you are seeing along the way. A full round trip is about 70-75 minutes, but you'll want to stop, look around, and then reboard. Trams operate on 15-20 minute headways until 5:00 p.m.
Multi-day tickets are available. Ticket packages also include discounted admission to the popular attractions and museums in St. Augustine. We bought a two-day ticket for our stay.
There are also special nighttime ghost tours and other tours.
