Old Town - Stare Miasto Mar 10, 2008
The Old Town of Zielona Góra is not such a 'big deal' like Kraków or Prag, but is still very cute place. There are some nice corners, and some bars and cafes where you can rest, or just walk thrugh, sit down and enjoy the atmosphere. First of all everyone has to take the tour from railway station through the whole traffic-free zone, which is a kind of living-room of the town. Here you can see people sitting and drinking their beer or cofe, or just shopping. Just after Pl. Bohaterow there is a Regional Mueseum with wine exposition (you have to know, that this town is know as the most northern wine region in Europe.) In the whole Old Town you can see plenty of signs, which confirm you the long wine-story of Zielona Gora. Even on city hall's main entrance there is a carving that rapresents vine-plants (such and similar carving are on many buildings in the town). Under the City Hall there is a pub called Bachus (god of wine)- go down a have fun at the pint of beer or talk with friends.
'Pod Filarami' near the City Hal…
