Old Stone Inn Niagara Falls Reviews
Old Stone Inn - Niagara Falls Jul 29, 2011
We spent 2 nights at the Old Stone Inn in Niagara Falls. We didn’t have a hotel when we arrived in town but a friendly lady at the visitor’s center helped us out. We got the rooms for about $100 US a night which wasn’t bad since it was totally last minute on a Saturday evening.
This hotel has some history behind it, back in the early 1900’s it was a flourmill. It was transformed into a hotel in 1970’s, the main lobby is kind of cool and shows its history. There are 69 deluxe guest rooms and suites, with an indoor pool, dining room, lounge and a meeting room. It was a cool place to stay with a friendly hotel staff. How ever the staff does really know good local places to eat at, we asked them where a good burger places was they told us burger king and Applebee’s. I was really hoping for a local hot spot, we did find a place when walking down the tourist part of town.
The room was nice and big, the bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was done up well. The tv was small and out dated but worked for what little we used it. We had a pool side view from our room but never made it down there to check it out. The great thing about this hotel is the parking is free and within walking distance of anything down town and the falls.
Its worth checking out if you want to stay at a place with a little history.
