Old Hansa Reviews

Very good food in a fun environment Apr 08, 2008
This restaurant is like you step back in time. Every little detail is just right. Hand made glasses to drink from, waiters in clothes from the middle ages, traditional music. And, also important, everything was delicious, and you don't have starve, because there is more than enough. If you visit Tallinn, be sure to visit Old Hansa, or you will miss something very special. Oh, and do visit the toilet, even if you don't necessarily have to, you will enjoy it.

Café Olde Hansa is located just behind the main square (Raekoja Plats) in the centre of the old town in Tallinn.

Its obviously quite touristy and therefore a little more expensive but it’s definitely worth the visit!

It’s a very authentic feeling Ye Olde restaurant. Right down to the costumes of the buxom wench staff and the clay mugs they serve your beer in.

The food is excellent and has a huge menu to choose from including a massive feast involving a bear! Drinks are also great with plenty of good beers, ales and wines to choose from.

The interior and toilets are also appropriately detailed and it’s quite a feast for the eyes as well. This includes boarskins, everything is by candlelight. I really enjoyed my meal, the service was excellent, and it was a great setting.
