Authentic medieval restaurant in Tallin Aug 31, 2009
It is a medieval restaurant right in the center of Talling. They have a terrace and three floors inside the builiding. All waiters and cooks wear typical clothes and they perform their role very well. It takes you back in time and they make you feel very comfortable.

Rozengrals Restaurant (medieval restaurant in Riga) is located in a more authentic building but the food in Olde Hansa was even better! We had some cheese with rich species with a honey beer for starters, and a wild pig and Elk with wines for mains. The food was spectacular but don´t go crazy ordering dishes, they are very huge! All cutlery tries to simulate you are having a meal in the Medieval times.

It is highly recommendable if you visit Tallin!

Actually during this holidays I went there twice! With Emilio first time (69 euros) and with Silvia second time. With Silvia I had rabbit and Silvia had chicken (44 euros), both were very good!

Very good food in a fun environment Apr 08, 2008
This restaurant is like you step back in time. Every little detail is just right. Hand made glasses to drink from, waiters in clothes from the middle ages, traditional music. And, also important, everything was delicious, and you don't have starve, because there is more than enough. If you visit Tallinn, be sure to visit Old Hansa, or you will miss something very special. Oh, and do visit the toilet, even if you don't necessarily have to, you will enjoy it.

Café Olde Hansa is located just behind the main square (Raekoja Plats) in the centre of the old town in Tallinn.

Its obviously quite touristy and therefore a little more expensive but it’s definitely worth the visit!

It’s a very authentic feeling Ye Olde restaurant. Right down to the costumes of the buxom wench staff and the clay mugs they serve your beer in.

The food is excellent and has a huge menu to choose from including a massive feast involving a bear! Drinks are also great with plenty of good beers, ales and wines to choose from.

The interior and toilets are also appropriately detailed and it’s quite a feast for the eyes as well. This includes boarskins, everything is by candlelight. I really enjoyed my meal, the service was excellent, and it was a great setting.
