Old Ground Hotel Ennis

Having been to Ennis a few times I had always wanted to say in this hotel. I thought that it would be very expensive to stay here, by looking at all the plush furnishing that it has.To my surprise they offered a weekend break with dinner on one night for 99 euros per person. The room being very plush had a super king size bed, tv, stereo, trouser press, tea and coffee making facilities, what more can you ask for!
Brekfast was excellent,with the full irish being hot, not just warm. Our evening meal again was first class, silver service. They have a lovely bar in the hotel called Poets Corner, it has amazing irish coffee served here as well as creamy Guinness, with live Irish music at the weekends.
Ennis town is great, lots of pubs and bars to visit, all very good with excellent food and music. Lots of nice boutique style shops to browse in, as well as the Dunnes department shop. Love this place, and will go back again and again.
