Old Faithful Geyser of California Aug 10, 2012
Geyser open to visitors 7 days a week, including holidays. At summer time till 6 pm, but if you bought a ticket before 6 pm you can stay there longer.

The water is scalding hot approximately every 30 minutes and you have to keep a safe distance. The water is 350 degrees hot and shoots approximately 60 feet into the air for a period of three or four minutes, then recedes. Barometric pressure, the moon, the tides and the earth's tectonic stresses determine the height the geyser shoots and time between eruptions. There is a picnic area around geyser, you can bring your own food or buy at the gift shop.

The country side is beautiful and as always the drive there was very scenic (right through Napa Valley). There is also Tennessee Fainting Goats, Jacob's Four-Horn Sheep, Guard Llamas which we were able to feed.

Adult: $10
