If you are looking for this on a map such as ordnance Survey on the web and put in Dornie, you will get somewhere completely different near Kyle of Lochalsh. If you put in Old Dornie, you will be told they can't find it. Yet it does show if you click on Polbain. Going towards Altandhu you will find Old Dornie Harbour at the end of the second cul-de-sac on the left.

It is a beautiful bay providing one of the best anchorages for small boats in all the area, sheltered by Isle Ristol that hides the Summer Islands. The view of the bay is almost always enhanced by a number of boats. If you are staying in the Achiltibuie/Polbain area, it's one of the places you should be sure to see.
