In March 08 I had to go to Yokosuka on business, but the trip also afforded opportunities to visit Tokyo and join Jenny for leave in Jenny's birthplace--Okinawa.
My objective in Tokyo was to ride the biggest Ferris Wheel in the city (Japanese: 展覧車 (tenransha) or 大観覧車 (daikanransha) or (kanransh) at Kasai Rinkai Park.
Our time in Okinawa was magical, with good weather, beautiful scenery/sunsets/beaches, and reunions with many friends from our time stationed there 2003-05.

Okinawa, is always going to be my all time favorite place on this planet. I just can't get enough of it. One of the last few hidden treasures of the world, in my opinion. Here are just a bunch of random pictures that each hold a personal memory for me.

The trip to Okinawa was only two weeks, but in that two weeks I felt i was able to explore a good bit of the island including hiking, boating, snorkeling, and of course the cuisine. I would totally go back and spend longer if given to opportunity to do so.
