Ohana Waikiki Malia Hotel Honolulu

While in Waikiki, Hawaii, I stayed at the Ohana Waikiki Malia on Kuhio Avenue. It is a fairly basic hotel with not alot there. At the time of booking I decided to go cheap and didnt worry too much about extra amneties, all I really wanted was a bed to sleep in. But after seeing all the other great hotels on the beach, the Ohana Waikiki Malia is a little disappointing.

First of all, there is no pool in the complex. Luckily though it is a street away from the beach and most often you would head to the beach rather than stay in a hotel pool, but a pool still would have been convenient when you dont feel like lugging stuff down to the beach.

Rooms were ok, fairly basic again. The real problem was the inefficiency in cleaning the rooms. More often than not our room would still not be clean as late at 3pm in the day. So after a day at the beach, we could still not relax in our room, or go and have a shower or anything like that.

Other than that, it was fine. If you are happy enough to have a place to rest your head and thats about it, then this may be the place for you.
