Ocean Spray Motel Grayland Reviews
Feel the Ocean Spray Mar 09, 2010
The Ocean Spray Motel reminds me a lot of the beach houses from New Jersey's LBI. The space is more like a small beach house rather than a hotel room. Each "room" comes with a full kitchen with microwave, bedroom, dinning space, bathroom and a TV with DVD player. Some rooms even have a living room.
The place was recently purchased by the new owners, Diane and Gary, about a year ago and they have been working hard in fixing the place up and making it the kind of place that you would want to come back to often. They are very friendly and helpful!
They offer movie rentals, both old and new, for a $1 each, games are available both in the houses and in the office. Our room also had books that I am guessing were left behind by previous guests. AND they have an awesome cat named Rocky and a little pup Baily..
Each house is unique in its layout, decoration and history. Some of the buildings were built around 1915 as housing for loggers and migrant workers working the cranbury bogs, other houses were built in 1942 as army housing for soldiers protecting the North Western front..
The beach is within walking distance from the hotel and there is a grocery store across the street with some basics. Restaurants are near by and there is a larger town about 20 minutes away on Hwy 105..
There is no WIFI but they have a linksy card thing that you can use..
