At the foot of the towering Mt. Talinis and the natural wonders that is hidden between the mountains lies. The newly found tourist destination in Dauin, Negros Oriental, Philippines is the Twin Hot Spring.
This is located at barangay Baslay. It has a sulfuric hot spring and is believed to have healing effects for skin diseases. The said tourist spot is accessible to all types of transportation. From the main road you need to have a walk downward with an estimated 300 downhill steps.
From the main town of Dauin, you need to travel an estimated 1.5 km south and reach barangay Masaplod Sur with intersection before you cross the bridge. From there you neet to change your direction going to the mountain of Talinis. A 7 km. drive to Baslay with a rocky and partially paved road.
A simple activity that you should not missed when you are there! That’s painting your whole body with sulfur. I have sample image here for you to check.
A one swimming pool with lukewarm temperature for the children and another pool for adults with four chambers having different water temperatures.
It has been a frequent destination of foreign and local tourists who wish to experience the perceived therapeutic sulfuric hot spring water. It is also believed to be an effective medicine for skin diseases and helps rejuvenates skin cells.
The Government is interested in developing the area since it can draw more tourists to come and visit the province.
