Oberoi Amarvilas Hotel Agra
Oberoi Amarvilas Hotel Agra Reviews
Expensive but worth every penny...or should I say rupee? Oct 05, 2006
Wow!! I knew this property would be great - having stayed in several Oberoi hotels before - but this one had to be the best! Every room has a view of the Taj Mahal, the balconies are large and great for an evening drink, and the restaurant is top notch; everything we ate was spectacular and reasonably priced.
After a day sightseeing at the Taj it was great to relax at their world-class pool...I will attach a picture. The spa as well was great. The service at this hotel is right up there with a Four Seasons. To see the Taj we booked a private guide from the hotel. On his recommendation we got out there before opening and were able to take some great unobstructed photos. The price for this private guide would be considered inexpensive to most spending the money for that hotel; I think it was $20 USD. Part of the Taj Mahal travel blog |

hotel, Oberoi Amarvilas , well after midnight. Though we were tired and disgruntled after 14 hours on buses and airplanes, and in cars and airports, we both perked up upon arrival. This place is absolutely OVER THE TOP. It's a real splurge and I had hoped… What a difference a day makes. |
