Obernai in the Alsace was supposed to be our first real target on this trip. Originally we wanted to see the Christmas market in Colmar, but since there was no camper stop in or close to Colmar, we decided to give Obernai a try, which seemed like a nice little village. My blog about our first ride in the Alps. We look forward to the variety of cultures from five different countries. Some of the hightlights we are expecting are: riding the heart of the Alps, the Odenwald Forest, the Black Forest region, the French Alsace region, and mountain passes in Switzerland and Austria. Should be a great combination of Old World history and Alpine riding.
