Oban Vacation Guide
Oban is a town in the Scottish Highlands. It is the gateway to the isles, shopping and drinking capital of the north west, and home to the excellent whisky of that name.
Ferries run from here to Mull, Coll, Tiree and the Outer Hebrides
(There is also an Oban in New Zealand: a village on Stewart Island.)

Picked up my friend at 11.10am on Saturday morning and we headed off from Motherwell. Joined the motorway and I know for the next 1 hour it would be a constant 60mph…great!! We travelled over the Erskine Bridge which has great views by the way!...then started gradually heading north..

This weekend (10. - 12. March 2006) we did our first weekend trip with the International Society. We travelled to the West coast to visit the town (or should we say “village”?) called Oban ("little bay" in Gaelic), as well as the isles of Mull and Iona.
We left Aberdeen on Friday evening…
