Oaks 212 Margaret Hotel Brisbane

I stayed at the hotel in one of the serviced apartments while waiting for my apartment to become available and was disgusted with the service I received whilst there and after. I paid a lot of money for an 11 day stay and maybe I’m expecting too much but to have a $700 camera stolen from the 26th flr room wasn’t something I bargained for. I was using the camera on Sunday and on the Monday after my room was cleaned, my camera was gone… apparently it can’t be the staff as they have all worked there for a total of 3 mths (wow) and so it must have been someone staying at the hotel who managed to get onto our floor through the secure lift (which you need a tag for that particular floor) and into our room with a key they happened to I suppose just find as the door wasn’t tampered with… They have refused to even take on board the fact that it could be someone in the hotel and not Spiderman who managed to scale 26 floors to my room. The staff wasn’t very sympathetic about the fact that as I have just emigrated to Australia all I wanted was the card in the camera as it had all my family and friends photo’s on there. Their excuse the whole time has been speak to the police and even when I was crying down the phone the general manager didn’t even ask if I was ok. I would recommend holding onto your belongings very closely in case Spiderman strikes again! oh and there were cockroaches in the kitchen and bedroom... maybe they stole the camera....
