Oakes Hotel Niagara Falls

This was a return trip to The Oakes for my fiance and I. The first trip was amazing with great value, unfortunatly we did not find the same on this trip. When we arrived the clerk seemed confrontational and unwilling to help. She did explain that the parking was $15 and included in the price(this would change). Upon going to the room expecting to see a wonderful view of the Falls, but only to find a large crack in the window creating a large amount of condensation covering the entire surface. When I let front desk know, they told me it was fine, at this point I had to remind her that one of their selling features is the view of the Falls. They agreed and moved us to another room. Upon cheking out and being presented with the bill I was shocked to find it was nowhere near the quoted price. The parking that was included now was not, and also doubled to $30. The The 2 night package that I booked was now 2 one night packages and at a higher rate. When I tried to discuss this matter with the clerk, she ignored the issue, said it was my problem and to sign the bill. After calling to talk with a hotel manager and being told that none wear on duty(over 2 days) nothing would be resolved, and the only response I could get was too bad for you. Nothing but rude, and talking down. For myself being in the hospitality industry for 12 years, the one thing and only thing that matters is good guest service. We Will not be returning. Location:
The only good thing about this hotel. Centrally located by the new casino, the Falls is walking distance if you take the tram.
