Nyoman Badri Homestay & Bungalows Ubud Reviews
Greate place to stay - warm atomsphere Aug 30, 2012
I stayed at this homestay for one week. Because Ubud it a good places to discover the center of Bali.
An older lady is managing the homestay for here family and the enclosed warung (Balinese word for restaurant). She likes to be calles Mama and thats how she is taking care of you. If you have any troubles of getting along in Ubud just ask here. She will help you to have a pleasend stay.
Try also the enclosed Warung, its has very tasty food. Try Saty, Nasi Goreng special, Gadu Gadu, or ask here for Fritatten soup (Austrian pancake soup) - I showed them how, since they had a couple of pancake dishes on the menue.
The only thing I did mind a bit, you could hear others talking, because of the cheap walls. So if you stay there bear in mind, than the others can understand everyword you are saying inside your room. As I used the room mainly for sleeping I didnt really care.
Also keep in mind, the city starts living arround 6 am. You hear all dogs barking and the cocks/roosters start to cry nearly nonstop - but this is everywhere on Bali.
Its a little bit outside from the center, 15 minutes walk to the Yoga Barn, 20 minutes to the monkey forest. 10-15 to the city centre.
+ You get a place of fruits (pinapples, papaya, banana with lemon)
+ choose between tea or coffee
+ choose between toast or pancake
+ Where communicative Warung, you meet locals and travellers
+ Where warm athomsphere
+ Supportiv staff
+ Very good and cheap warung (Mama's Warung)
+ good matraess
+ big room
+ big bathroom
+ Wlan (but as nearly everywhere on Bali, only week signal, so it works arround the Warung only)
-- hearing your neigbour through the walls (everything they do and talk)
- no towels in my room
- no toilett paper
- weak lightning inside the rooms at night
