Nyoi Rin Ji Frog Shrine - Ogoori - TravBuddy

Nestled in a neighborhood by a busy road is a Frog Shrine.  It is more like a park.  You start off on a path the follws a wall lined with little frog statues.  As it turns, you enter a very green area.  It is quiet and peaceful.  There a tons of statues and several shrines.  You feel you are in a different world.

The larger shrines you can enter and view art, pray, and light incense.  You can even explore the largest shrine and see more art and statues.

There is also an area to buy stuff, but there are no workers--that I saw.  It is based on an honor system.  You take what you want and leave what you think the value is.  People leave money on all the little statues.

I recommend this for anyone who wantst o be transported to another world and time.  Plus it is free!
